Light started kit in bare minerals. WHAT shades in Everyday Minerals?
with bare minerals i had to purchase the light kit. That comes with LIGHT and MEDIUM BEIGE. With both of these shades mixed I THIINNK it fits me. I'm trying out everyday minerals and i've purchased 2 sample kits. Finding my shade is giving me a hard time so the question is if you have this same technique with b.e. and has tried everyday minerals what color(s) do you use?Light started kit in bare minerals. It took me a few tries to find my perfect color because there were a few different shades that matched my skin. I have a golden tan colored complexion with a hint of olive and what i do is mix Sandy Medium and Sandy Olive, this color is perfect for me.
Its advised that you do mix shades to achieve the perfect color, also try different formulas because a shade can be darker in the Intensive than it is in the Original Glo
Some shades that might match your skin tone would be: Soft Butter Peach, Sunkissed Fair, Buff Light Neutral

I've just received my sample haul; Golden medium is somewhat close to my colour (kind of light at first unless I buff it in) and everything else was a failure. I dont know what shade are you, but i use medium, for average skin with a little pink on the cheeks. I would recommend buying the 12 pack, its only 50 dollars! And i would chose many foundations. They are in big containers, and they last for about 1.5/2 months for each one you use. Also, i would recommend the sparky eyeshadows, they have a very victoria secret shimmer to them. They are great! ive read all kinds of mixed reviews on the different mineral makeup brands...i've used Dinair Airbrush Makeup for 2 years and i highly recommend it...its amazing! it lasts all day, covers extremely well, its totally natural looking, and is all water based so its not bad for your skin. I love it! If u wanna look at it while ur looking up other stuff just go to google and type in Dinair and im sure you'll find their site. I really have never been happier with makeup Anyway it doesnt hurt to at least look at it..hope this helps and u find the makeup thats right for u! =)

I agree with ali. She's totally right about everything from water, to the pillow idea, to the 8-9 hours of sleep. I just have two more tips to add to her answer. Chill a potato, slice two pieces and place them on the bags under your eyes, and it will help. Also, don't forget to use and eye cream since part of your problem could be hydration, and pat your cream on, never smear, since it could also be broken capillaries from rubbing your eyes too much.

first of all nothing can replace moisturizer. if you have dry skin, you have to use it, otherwise all your makeup will look terrible.
second of all, BE is the BEST makeup there is, i have been using it since i was 13. i'm 20 now. the other two you have mentioned are ripoffs of BE. this is how they helped me:
it's easy and quick to apply
the foundation makes you look like you're glowing (although, it does look cakey at times. i usually just use the mineral veil)
it helps clear up acne
it make your natural skin look better
you don't have to wash it off at night (infact it is recomended that you sleep with it on)
it is FAB! and it lasts forever! it takes me a year to use up a mineral veil. get be.

What most people tend to have different views on is the brushes, I have heard more complaints about the Sheer Cover brush being rough, but if that is the case you can always go purchase a different kabuki brush that is pleasing to you. Also most people either try on or the other not both. I have personally only tried the drug store types of mineral make-up and the one I tried is Mineral Ware by Physicians Formula and I like it a lot and it was only half of the price about $12!
i tried sheer cover but the concealer was to cakey for me when i put it on my acne. i use everyday minerals everyday and it is not cakey and i mix it with some sheer cover foundation.
i used some liquid stuff.. and it clogges your pors.. okay.. hers an AMAZING brand.. im 14 and am just recovering from some acne.. i just started using stuff.. so i decided to swich everything! so.. i went to safora.. and ulta.. and they have URBAN DECAY... its a makeup brand thats amazing. now there a little expensive... soo.. it just depends.. i got ALL my colors done.. and its great. EVERYTHING stays on.. and they EVEN HAVE MINERALS! and its great! its 35$ for something that will last you.. hmm.. about 6 months.. soo its WAY WORTH IT! and its wayy better for your skin.. so go in there... and get your colors done! ITS WORTH THE MONEY! i had to buy it myself. and i went from CHEAP 2$ NYC bronzer.. to 35$ minerals.. and the transformation in my skin is amazing! so try urban decay.. i havent heard one negitive thing on them... so from personal exprience.. try it!! Everyday Minerals brand good or bad?
I've used bare minerals in the past, and liked it, but it's too expensive for me right now. I've heard Everyday Minerals is good, and I know it's less expensive, but how is it compared to BE, I don't want to order it, and get disappointed.. Also, my mom was wanting to use it also, she is 50, how are the results on older women? Also, does anyone know how good their other products are, like the eyeshadows, and concealers? Which is better, Bare Minerals or Everyday Minerals?
My mom is letting me pick one cosmetics kit for Christmas, but I'm torn on what to choose. Bare Minerals is sooo expensive, but if you don't hate it, you love it. Everyday minerals is a lot cheaper, but i want the better quality mineral product. I would also like to know something about Fresh Minerals, because that would be the least hassle for us.

I wear Bare Escentuals Medium Beige foundation. What color should I buy from Everyday Minerals?
I would say medium tan, but honestly it is hard to say...do you find bare minerals too orangey for your skin? Or is it literally a perfect match? I would order the sample kit if I were you because the colours look a little different once you get them depending on the formulation you choose (intensive is usually darker than original glow). It is located under custom kits and it is free- you can pick three different colours plus a concealer and a blush. I hope that this helps, good luck! I can't see that the sponge would apply the mineral powder correctly. I would use the kabuki brush. Keeping it clean I think is the best secret to having a nice soft fluffy brush. I wash mine every few weeks with baby shampoo and it's so nice and soft. You can blow dry on low heat or let it air dry. Best of luck with whichever you coose, it's the greatest make available-huh! I love it.

I looked around on the web... It's apparently available in salons/spas, but the main website doesn't list any, and I don't know if it's available overseas. It comes out of my hometown, Austin. You can get it by mail if you're interested in doing that, but I don't know about additional shipping costs to get it to you over there. You could try emailing them for information on how to get it and how much it would cost you. There may be restrictions on importing... just don't know. And, it looks like you'd need to purchase the foundation and finishing powder, which is around $24 US.

Did Everyday Minerals make you break out?
The majority of reviews about Everyday Minerals that I've heard said they broke out really bad from it. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem with it or didn't have any problems. They have one of the widest ranges of colors available on the market, and do not contain bismuth oxychloride, which is an additive that Bare minerals uses that makes you look strangely shiny and can cause itchy skin that breaks out. I myself have been using Everyday Minerals and could not be happier with it. It is also significantly cheaper than bare minerals, though is only available over the web ( they have inexpensive sample sizes you can buy to try).

I think I heard that I was made especially for people who do not have a strong olive tone but are not beigey or too goldeny.. its a happy median. i tried bare minerals a few weeks ago and after a few days of using it it totally broke me out. im still waiting for it to clear up :(

mineral make-up is great, i LOVE everyday minerals foundation, i know its quite expensive but its really worth the money and that little pot lasts forever. it does reduce the ammount of spots you get as it doesnt clog the pores unlike most make-up. however, if you have dry skin it may not work for you. it can sometimes make dry skin look even dryer and a bit flakey. see if you can find sample pots (you can get these from alot of sites that ofer free samples) before you invest in a pot for yourself.
whatever mineral make-up you choose, allow your moisturizer to dry and absorb before applying your make-up, this may take a few minutes. always use a non-mineral, oil-based moisturizer that will not clog pores. if your moisturizer does not absorb into your skin, neither will your mineral makeup. use a setting powder as a base all over if you have oily skin...it will help absorb the oil naturally. mineral make-up should be applied in light layers. if you feel you need more coverage, keep applying light layers.

I used to have acne problems, uneven skin tone and rosacea. Using bare minerals actually helped clear up all these problems. Without the foundation I have about two pimples, an even skin tone and no rosacea. You can choose the coverage and it looks VERY natural.
If you go to one of their stores, they will gladly give you a free ';makeover';
Oh h*** yeah! Get Bee-Luscious. I believe it is the most innovative cosmetics company on the market at this moment. I started using it a while back and haven't looked back! I have never read on bad review on their make up! Look it up yourself.

I prefer Bee Luscious. I like that it is a cream/liquid to powder so it is not messy. It also does not settle into lines or wrinkles like BM or EM. IMHO.

i ordered it last week on october 11th. It's been a week, and the tracking code they gave me doesn't work. What's going on?My everyday minerals set didnt come yet?
Remember that Monday was a holiday in the USA as well, I don't know what it was but I know here it was Thanksgiving and the US had a holiday as well, thus it wouldn't have been sent out until Tuesday, earliest. Expect it mid week next week.

NO dont use make up until you are 20 or something, you can use lipgloss, eyeliner, and etc but not the face cream thing especially foundation. Foundation ruined a friend of mine and still used it to cover pimples and peels. BE VERY CAREFUL.

Second of all, it dries out your skin like whoa! It's not creamy whatsoever or and doesn't create any type of glow. Third of all, it's just horrible... don't waste your money on it. Try Sheer Cover, it's the absolute opposite of everything i've just mentioned.

I love Everyday Minerals. It took a couple of samples until I got the right color for my face. I have the same problem as you with the whole acne thing. UGHHHH! But using everyday minerals it has a much better coverage than Bare Minerals (which I've also tried and hate because it makes my face itchy and eventually get sudden breakouts). Depending if you find you're shade or not the little jars can last you for a 2 weeks or 3 (for one jar), and it also depends how much of the minerals you decide to put on you're face. I use the intensive formula and I think it looks great and provides great coverage. I had 3 really light shades in my sample kit and I actually just bought a large mixing jar and mixed the 3 together. It fills up nearly half a large jar. And using a bronzor I get the right shade for my face. I hope this helps you! How long does Everyday Minerals last?

Well, that's kind of hard. What kind of mineral makeup are you purchasing? Eyeshadow? Foundation? Concealer?
I think you've got a fair skin tone, so I say your foundation should match your skin tone and your concealer should be a shade lighter. That aside, since you've got grey eyes, try emerald green--the shade is in this season at the same time, it's a very versatile colour and will make your eyes pop out. That aside, if you want something that will last and something that's a little bit safe but complementary, try shades of blue--dark, smoky colours and pearly ones for highlights.
Just don't go crazy on pastels. XD Maybe it's a personal preference but I find it so hard to make yellow look good on anyone. XD But you know, you might be able to pull it off but it's risky.Everyday minerals?

In the picture your neck looks more yellow than your face in the unshaded middle, so I'm not sure if the rest is your coloring or if it's obscured by a shadow. You want your face to blend into your neck rather than match your face. You are definatley not olive or warm, but you might have to experiment with the rest of the colors. Let's leave out Golden for now also. We are going to start with the lightest possibe colors because it's easiest to keep track of which ones you've tried so far as you continue on to try more colors.
First try Cool Fair Medium, Beige Sunkissed Fair, and Buff Fairy Light Neutral. Get the formula that best matches your skins condition. If you are in a climate where it is winter right now then you probably don't need the matte unless you have VERY oily skin year round.
Once you try those if you notice that your neck and the rest of your skin looks especially yellow compared to your face then that means you are a Golden and you should order another sample kit of all Golden's (and/or Buffs). If not, then decide which one matches your neck the best and whether or not it is too light. Experiment with the colors and then order a new sample kit based on your findings. You might have to blend colors to get the perfect shade. For example, I blend Golden Light and Olive Light. You might be a cool/beige or cool/buff or buff/beige mix! It's really hard to tell from just the pictures because sometimes the powders look different on the skin than they do on their own. You really have to just play with all the possible colors, but it's worth it to find your exact perfect match.
For the blush I'd say get the Light Pink. It's the lightest color they have and triples as a redness concealer and complexion booster, and I'd also say you could experiment using it as a highlighter for your face and eyes. Their blush colors are really off on the website and can come out pretty dark. You need just the tiniest pinch of product.
And finally for the concealer I'd recommend Mint. It will neutralize the redness in your complexion and any blemishes. Use a lot if you have to (before foundation)--the foundation will completely cover it.
The most important thing with mineral makeup is to use the right brushes. The EM ones are GREAT and very inexpensive. Once you've determined your correct colors get any of the kits they offer that include brushes and order the foundations and most expensive brushes to get the best value.

Everyday Minerals?
I saw the mention of a beauty product named Everyday Minerals and went to check out its site. Not only is it a fraction of the cost of Bare Minerals, but it offers free samples too! It seems too good to be true, so I'm wondering how the rest of you like it, if you've tried it.Everyday Minerals?
I've tried it really like the makeup and comfy eyeshadow ,some of the lighter eyeshadows didn't seem to go on thick enough. but if you have sensitive skin and are prone to breakouts don't get the intense version of makeupEveryday Minerals?

Apparently you do have to pay a little under $4 for shipping, but the sizes are supposedly pretty generous for a sample.

Everyday Minerals?
I heard it was good, but I don't know what shade it is in. I have pale asian skin, and I have really dry and really oily skin at times. I don't want it to be too cakey like bare minerals. For most mineral makeup brands, 50% of users will love them and 50% will hate them with a fiery passion. Personally, I like Everyday Minerals foundations, blushes and finishing powders. I love how I can pick the formula of foundation to fit my needs (oily/normal combo with dry patches at the moment). My favorite would have to be the intensive formula since I have some acne scaring here and there. Also, since their products are priced so well, it's definitely worth a try.
Since most Asian people have yellow undertones and you have pale Asian skin, I'd probably suggest Golden Fair or Winged Butter, but this can be highly inaccurate since I don't have any kind of picture to determine your skin color. But I hope the rest of my response helps a lot! =]Everyday Minerals?

With the Mineral, you have to use a ';light'; hand and don't apply too much, do it in layers. The first layer is a very light application, and the second is too. With the third (also with a light hand) you wonder is this about right? Do I need more? And that is when you stop. It should be just right at that point. I use an electric make up mirror with the light on when I do my make up... so I don't get too much on.

I've been using bare minerals for a number of months now, and I think that it is irritating my skin (I have sensitive skin). To make makeup stay on longer try using a Primer. I use MAC's Prep and Prime SPF 50 (the other primer by MAC has sparkle crap in it). Other great ones are Smashbox Photofinish Primer and Laura Mercier Spackle Primer.

The samples are very small. But that is because they are free samples. Would you expect a life time supply???? But a small amount goes a long way. It is a great foundation. I have been using it for over a year.
The sizes are incredibly small. And to be honest, this foundation is garbage. It's really hard to blend and can look cakey.

Those who have switched to Mary Kay to Everyday Minerals?
I used (oldschool) Mary Kay Powder Perfect in beige (like from 2001), and want to try Everyday Minerals foundation. I have a yellowy-tan, medium tone (not a deep tan). My unusual shade has made it hard to find a perfect match in mineral makeup. Colors are often too light, dark, or pink. I just ordered a free sample kit from Everyday Minerals, the brand seems to be getting consistent rave reviews. Cost is about $50.00, well worth it.
