I have been using Bare Minerals for years, and I think it works fairly well, but sometimes I think the coverage could be better (I do not like using a lot of any product on my face). However, I am always open to trying new products that are possibly ';better'; and ';healthier'; and have learned of Sheer Cover and Everyday Minerals. In my experience, Bare Minerals covered better than sheer cover. Sheer cover was very sheer on my skin. You can see right through it, so I don't think you woul be happy with it. It also is not a pure mineral product. Everyday Minerals covered the same as Bare Minerals for me. I am now using kms mineral essentials and getting the best coverage.Bare Minerals vs Sheer Cover or EveryDay Minerals?
Everyday Minerals is by far the best out of those three. The coverage is so much better and much more natural looking. Also it doesn't contain bismuth like Bare Minerals does. Bare Minerals just made me break out and itch. It's not as good for your skin as so many people think it is. My sister tried Sheer Cover and she hated it, it turned orange on her skin at the end of the day and was just overall bad quality.
I've tried sheer cover and i liked it at first but it feels as though it stopped working as well anyway it cost too much so i just canceled it. I started using maybelline the new mineral liquid one and i love it. It feels extremly light on my skin and it covers so well i totally recommend it and the concealer its not expensive at all and my fiance told me i look like im glowing and my skin looks extremly healthy so im hooked you should really try it wish you luck :)
I used Bare Minerals before..it works but is expensive..Mineral powder foundation is light and will not clog your pores, it gives you a natural look you can layer it also. I use MK mineral foundation...I think it works great and is less costly. What is better is a product that does not clog your pores, or cause you to break out. You will know after trying something for a few days how your skin reacts. Does that help?
I use Bare Minerals also. I started using Everyday Minerals at first because it is cheaper and supposed to be better for your skin. You can order samples of EM and try them you just pay shipping. But I noticed that it made my face break out badly. Also the coverage was not very good I wasn't happy with it. I have only heard negative things about Sheer Cover. So for now I'm happy with Bare Minerals and think it is best out of all three choices.

I am a Macaholic and id like to try a different product so i wanna ask everyone which foundation is better and worth a try Everyday or Bare ?

And its good enough to be used on sensitive skin too. Its cheaper than Mac and you can buy it easily from drugstores or strawberry.net.

Yes, the matte formula keeps the Middle Eastern oil companies from mining my face and it is less money than Bare Minerals,
I also love the tinted silk dust, and the blushes are beautiful, some of the eyeshadow colors are great too, they have great color payoff, but some of the glittery ones have chunky glitter in them. Most are fine though. I order a lot of samples from these, and of course if I love a certain color I'll order a full size.

hi everyone! im hoping someone may help me. i am interested in trying everyday minerals foundation, but am not sure what exact color to get. i use bare minerals medium currently. i am planning to get the samples from everyday minerals, but when i was on their site, 70% look like they would match! haha. if anyone can help that would be awesome!

I've been using Bare Minerals for about a year now and I've basically been happy with it because it covers acne/acne scars better than anything liquid foundation ever did. But I was just told tonight that Bare Minerals actually claims to be completely pure makeup and it is not. I was told about another product, Everyday Minerals, which was said to be much better/more pure than Bare Minerals.

It wont really 'reduce' your acne .. nothing can, only OTC stuff or something from your dermatologist. But mineral makeup certanly WONT aggrivate it and make it worse.

Mineral makeup is best in my opinion. It is a powder which some don't like, however just mix a dash of it with your facial moisturizer for a great liquid foundation that is good for your skin! Mineral makeup very natural, has awesome wear-ability, is non-comedogenic, and is oil free, but please think twice before using products with bismuth oxychloride in them, like Bare Minerals (aka Bare Escentuals) and Sheer Cover. These companies include bismuth oxychloride as a filler, and it is not at all recommended for sensitive skin, it can cause itchiness, rashes, and can actually aggravate skin problems further in some cases! I used this makeup not knowing this fact and it caused me a very bad allergic reaction including intense itch, large blotchy patches of redness, and break outs! After that i looked into LAMinerals which is bismuth free, but didn't go with them since they put silk powder (';discarding'; the worms that make the silk) and other weird ingredients like magnesium, and calcium into their makeup... Common sense told me the more ingredients, the higher the risk of blocked pores, break outs, and allergic reactions...
I then found this makeup and have been using it for 3 years now! It's wonderful! They have 17 foundation colors (way more then the competitors!) and 5 different finishing powders, choose the one for you skin type! Plus they have over 45 eye shadows! It really works well! Plus they are also MUCH cheaper then the 'big' name companies, and they're cruelty free and totally VEGAN (animal by-product free)!

Yes they are real. I used to use them and I liked it, but when my daughter started using it she had issues with the bismuth ingredient in the product breaking her out.
We now use an all natural mineral makeup that is bismuth free and costs a little less too.

How ever If you have some red tones in you skin and your skin can use a little moisture. Make up forever HD Primer in Green Will help you out with thos red tones in your skin.
If you are worryed about Ageing you can use Smash Box Primer W . It is very good for ageing skin.
If you have dry skin stilla primer is really amazing. it has a SPF 15 witch will also give you protection from the sun I have dry skin and this is what I use. very little bit tho.

It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, looks natural and it's affordable. They also have tons of colors and really fun names for the blushes and eyeshadows. I love bare minerals it doesn't make me breakout. It is expensive but if you have a zit it will cover it completely. Powders shouldn't make you break out.

I absolutely love everyday minerals, i think it gives great coverage and all that, but my face tends to flake a little after i put it on. i do moisturize before putting it on but i see little skin particles after it. should i change the brush, or use a primer? anyway, just asking for opinions. thanks :)

A primer might help, too, or a different moisturiser - try switching to one for dry skin, if you aren't already.

I have thin baby skin and I love it except I have some dark patches, light acne and faint spider veins. Make up makes me look like a Kabuki dancer.

i came across several sites that mentioned how everydayminerals.com works just as well as all the others, costs much less and gives you a FREE SAMPLE. i was sold.
i went to the site and ordered their sample pack to get 1 concealer, 3 foundations and1 blush -- all for free (just the cost of shipping).
it came in the mail a few days later, and when i saw they were powders i was disappointed. i was like there is no way i am going to be able to cover my zits with a powder. i have ALWAYS used liquid foundation and a pressed powder to finish. i thought i couldn't live without a liquid or cream concealer/foundation. I gave it a shot anyway, though and i was absolutely amazed. it COVERS! it really made my skin look naturally flawless. i don't even use a pressed powder over it. I LOVE THIS STUFF! believe me, it works. i don't apply with my fingers like i did with liquid. this works great for me using a foundation brush. apply all over face and add a little extra over impurities and freckles.
i love on the site it has all sorts of resources to consult before you order to make sure you get the right colors for your skin. plus with 3 different foundation samples it pretty much guarantees one will be perfect.
i love the blush too. so natural. i think it is called summer stroll... simply beautiful.

I'd recommend trying to find a rep near you or going to www.avon.com and trying some out- i think it's less than 9 dollars for foundation.

They also have a waterproof line called paramedical that u can even swim with it on and it wont come off so ur sweating wont be a problem...ive been using their makeup for 2 years and i LOVE it..anywho if u just google Dinair you'll find their site...hope i helped...=)

I just discovered Everyday Minerals like 2 weeks ago. Everyone who's tried the makeup seems to love it. I ordered a sample pack (FREE! Just paying shipping) and a Premium Foundation Brush. The shades of the foundation I got didn't match (one was close but was a bit too light) so I'm going to order another sample pack and some more brushes. I LOVE the foundation brush. It's different from other brushes because the method is more like 'painting' but it works really well and makes the foundation look better than when I was using a normal powder brush or my kabuki.
The ingredients in Everyday Minerals are really good as well. Bare Minerals ingredients are not and I know they use chemicals in many of their products.
p.s Everyday Minerals is not one of those fake mineral makeups (that often use chemicals) that you see on tv. It won't age your skin because it contains only earth minerals. Chemicals in makeup are what ages you.How do you like Everyday Minerals?

My best advice is wash your face with warm water, apply aloe and vitamin e lotion on your face and just apply blush or a little bit of cover up in the area you need it the most. But dont start too early putting makeup it makes you age faster and it takes color away from the skin.

Bare Minerals colors are all wrong for me. Far too pink, while I'm yellow. But I get those from Ulta. I want to try Sheer Cover too but I'm a little nervous because I tried Pur Minerals and wanted to love it, but the coverage looked so fake.

They are small, almost the size of a quarter when looking from the top. It's about a 1/4 inch thick. Although it's small, it has enough product for three to five days, depending on how much you use it. When I got mine, I had it for a good week and a half before it was gone!

Everyday Minerals- How do you apply the concealer?
I go the sample of Everyday Minerals. I have several red marks on my face. How do I cover all of these? Do I simply buff a layer of concealer on that area with a brush? or do I individually try to conceal each spot. when I conceal each spot individually, it just looks like powdery spots and it doesn't look good under my foundation.
