Everyday minerals? What is the difference between their finsihing dust and balancing powder?

I keep reading that you use both before the foundation so that it controls oil better. Is one better than the other for oily skin? Is it even necessary to get either of them?Everyday minerals? What is the difference between their finsihing dust and balancing powder?
to tell you the truth, it is completely unneccessary to use both





i use just the balancing powder then a light coat of foundation... then... throughout the day, whenever i feel overly oily, i flip out my small compact loose powder and apply a bit over my face





balancing powder from estee lauder is the best, but if you want to go cheaper, ulta has great balancing powder. i used it last year for prom and looked great all night
