Why are countries such a Africa and Asia,so rich in minerals,but people there are starving everyday?

Africa has Diamond Mines.


Saudi Arabia has Oil Fields,and Copper Mines.


Asia has Zinc.





But still we in America have to donate and give to charities,to help save them from starvation. (I'm saddened about this),but what is the government of these countries doing to stop the famine?Why are countries such a Africa and Asia,so rich in minerals,but people there are starving everyday?
well it has two causes...





first though Africa and Asia rich in minerals, they don't have the technology.. so they have to coorperate with western... with profit divident.. let's just say it's 50-50. so they already lost their 50%.





then most government are corrupted ! so their people lost their 100%..





trust me.. i live in one of the most poor countries.. Indonesia.. Here the goverment is very corrupt.. even the policeman.. in the department too.. even social department ! the tax department too..

For one thing, neither Africa nor Asia is a country. They are continents composed of many countries, each country looking out for Number One. In most countries, the mining rights are owned by private interests not the governments, and many such interests were established long ago by other nations' empirical policies (The British Empire, for example). Economic profit from such mining does not always stay in that country but is transferred to the mining companies' country of origin or at least to that company. The mining/drilling money that stays in the country is usually in the form of workers wages and taxes, a small percentage of the total wealth. Even in those countries where the governments run the mining/drilling, many of the governments are corrupt and the money goes into the pockets of the leaders, and much the same can be said for the kingdom countries. Factor that in with the many civil wars and natural disasters that these countries are ill-prepared for and it's the common people who suffer.
government corruption....and then some just totally lack a cohesive government....it's very sad, really
They are controlled by corrupt governments. The money stays at the top.
When the cull of humanity is finished in these regions you will then see the harvest of the continents natural resources. Why negotiate with nations of lessor means when you can wait out their futile existence in the global community. By the time the worlds power brokers install their global FASCIST movement through the power of a UN Global Army these regions will be like ripe fruit for the picking. Anything that is dead and or dying will be buried for fertilizer.

While living human kind with empty rice bowl were standing under the rain and sunshines waiting for the left-over from them on planet earth.


Observe how the loots were glaring under the sun, moon and stars, even on cloudy and rainy days too on planet earth.


How embarassing it can be on living human kind with two hands when others too were having two hands on planet earth.
They need to do what we did, a couple of hundred years ago: discover %26amp; embrace the enlightenment. Without this crucial step, it's hopeless.

israel owns all the diamond mines in Africa. Similar circumstances surround other 3rd world nations and thier reasources. Saudi Arabia is a pretty rich country, much money may just go to a few though.
Corrupt politicians.
It takes a lot of money and a stable political enviorment to get natural resources out of the ground, A lot of these nations have neither right now and unfortunately, most of they're governments are too corrupt to care, they would rather exploit their people than help them
sell it and then they cant eat
Corrupt Governments is the reason like the others said...But i think you got it wrong about saudi arabia...Saudi arabia is a rich country and most people there are considered rich..plus...the government is very generous here...No taxes, free health care (they will even send you abroad if the care you need isnt available, all for free, by that i mean hospital, 5 star hotel, tickets and living expenses).Free college education, free schools, oh and even get paid for goign to college, verrrrrry low gas prices, and free government loans, free scholarships for those who want to study abroad plus a monthly salary, Saudi's are also paid pretty well... i could go on and on.......,i dont know where you guys get all this info about our government being corrupt...im not saying there free from all mistakes....but out of 10 i will give them a 9 1/2....
What you're saying is much too simplistic and the explanation is much too involved to answer this question with any intelligence in this forum. Suffice it to say the people that are starving don't have access to the mines and the people (corporations) that do don't like sharing the wealth. Also America is not the only country that help these people.
IMPERIALISM. Go rent the documentary called ';Why We Fight';. It's all in there. America has lost control of its government.
In order to answer your question we have to take a look back to history. Yes African and Asian countries are rich in mineral resources but this resources belongs to either Europeans or Americans.





Let's take France for example, it dominated African countries and imports cheap resources from African countries to France and processes them and makes good and sells them back to African countries.





The same case was with US, when they were the colony of Britain, but the lack of government and some outstanding people it ended.
